Tomas Boström

Social Creed – An Evening Mass

Wednesday 14th of August, 21.15 – 22.15
St Jakob Church, Parkgatan 4
English

Our social creed is at least as relevant today as when it was written. It wants to be our guide, our inspiration and encourage our courage to really make a difference.

The social creed is found in the Methodist tradition and consciousness and seeks its response in the borderless. It is about the consequences of faith.
In this form, the creed is conveyed in a musical package where Tomas Boström’s songs comment on each point of the confession. Tomas Boström has his roots in the Methodist musical heritage and was active in the Global Praise Working Group. His songs and hymns are sung throughout the world today.

Tomas is of course present during the mass, as are the choir and musicians led by Andreas Nordanstig. Also participating are Cissi Glittvik and Henrik Fransson from the local congregation in Gothenburg.
